Day 1 - Perth to Adelaide
Today fly to Adelaide at a time suitable to you. On arrival make your own way to your accommodation, and the rest of the day is free to explore the festival city, known for its exceptional food and wine, arts, events and attractions.

Day 2 - Kangaroo Island Experience (B, L)
Spend the day exploring South Australia’s natural wilderness playground, Kangaroo Island. Depart early this morning on your coach to Cape Jervis where you'll board the ferry. On arrival into Penneshaw you will meet your friendly guide and begin your tour of this breathtakingly beautiful island. Enjoy the unique experience of a guided tour amongst wild Australian sea lions, and see them swim, play and rest at Seal Bay Conservation Park.
You'll enjoy a delicious two course lunch, and then visit the Flinders Chase National Park, home to the iconic Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Don’t forget your camera to get some fantastic photos of these natural rock formations, and the playful Long-nosed Fur Seals that use the Arch as their safe haven. Return to Adelaide by ferry and coach, arriving late this evening.
Day 3 - Barossa Food & Wine Experience (B, L)
Today you'll travel into South Australia’s premium wine region, The Barossa. Taste some award-winning wines and enjoy morning tea at Pindarie Winery. Then it’s on to the much loved Australian cook Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, where you will hear all about Maggie’s story, and get to sample her entire product range. At Lambert Estate you’ll enjoy a structured tasting, and feast upon a gourmet two course lunch, before finishing the day at Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, where you will pair their wine with some of their chocolate.
Day 4 - Adelaide to Melbourne (B)
This morning depart Adelaide on the comfortable Overland, and travel in Red Premium Service to multicultural Melbourne. Early evening you will arrive at Southern Cross Station and make your way to your hotel.

Hear about the history of Melbourne, considered to be one of the most liveable cities in the world.
Day 5 - Magnificent Melbourne
This morning you will be collected from your accommodation for your city tour of Melbourne. Join a guided walking tour and learn about Melbourne’s famous laneways and arcades. Explore the historic Royal and Block Arcades, and walk past the vibrant cafes and bars of Degraves Street and Flinders Lane, plus see the popular street art in Hosier Lane. Then board your coach for your tour past iconic landmarks such as the Queen Victoria Markets, St Paul’s Cathedral, Flinders Street Station and the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Day 6 - Free day in Melbourne
Today is a free day to explore the sights of Melbourne. Join one of the many day tours that can take you to Phillip Island to see the evening Penguin Parade, or head down the Great Ocean Road and have your photo taken in front of the famous Twelve Apostles rock formations. Alternatively jump on a tram, and head to St Kilda, the beautiful seaside suburb famous for its palm-lined boardwalk, fabulous old buildings, great restaurants, bars and cafes.
Day 7 - Melbourne to Canberra
This morning board the XPT train at Southern Cross Station and travel first class, arriving into Cootamundra after lunch. Here you will get the Queanbeyan Coach Service for the last leg of your capital cities journey. Arrive into Canberra Civic late this afternoon, and make your way to your accommodation.

Day 8 - 9 - Free days in Canberra
The next two days are at leisure in Canberra. Visit the National Museum of Australia, located on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin, or take a guided tour through the many exhibitions to learn about the rich and diverse stories of Australia and its people. Head to the Australian War Memorial for an insightful experience and make sure to stay for the moving Last Post Ceremony at the end of the day where you will hear the story behind one of the names on the Roll of Honour.
Take a guided tour of Parliament House and see Australia’s democracy in action, or visit the National Gallery of Australia and see the art and world class exhibitions on show, including ‘Blue Poles” by Jackson Pollock and the Ned Kelly series by Sidney Nolan.
Day 10 - Canberra to Sydney
Mid morning, make your way to Canberra Station at Kingston to board the Southern Xplorer for your rail journey back to Sydney. Settle into your first class seat, and watch the scenery change as you travel through the picturesque Highlands region. Arrive into Sydney late this afternoon and make your way to your accommodation.

Day 11 - Hop on Hop off Explorer
Today travel around Sydney Harbour using your Hop On Hop Off Explorer pass. Departing from Circular Quay or Darling Harbour, you can visit such places as Taronga Zoo, Manly, Watsons Bay, Luna Park, Shark Island or Barangaroo. Entry fees to some of these locations is an additional cost.
Day 12 - Sydney Harbour Captain’s Dinner Cruise (D)
This evening enjoy Sydney Harbour’s signature dinner cruise aboard the MV Sydney 2000. With guaranteed window seating, feast on a 3 course contemporary Australian a la carte menu, with the lights of Sydney as your spectacular backdrop. Live music and dancing will keep you entertained as you cruise for 3.5 hours around the stunning Harbour.
Day 13 - Depart Sydney (D)
This afternoon make your way to Central Station to board the iconic Indian Pacific. Settle into your Gold Service cabin and enjoy the meals, beverages and facilities available to you. There's plenty of time to relax and get to know other passengers on the first night of your rail journey.

Day 14 - Broken Hill & Adelaide (B, L, D)
This morning enjoy an off train excursion in Broken Hill. Visit the famous gallery of artist Pro Hart’s and learn how he created his masterpieces and see a wide selection of his signature paintings. Alternatively you can head over to the Miner’s Memorial, a unique structure that sits high above Broken Hill offering amazing views of the township.
The Indian Pacific continues to Adelaide, where again you can choose from a tour to either the wine regions of McLaren Vale or The Barossa, or perhaps an exclusive tour of the South Australian Museum to learn about fossil heritage and palaeontology. This evening enjoy a delicious dinner on the platform under the stars, prior to departing Adelaide.
Day 15 - The Nullarbor Plain (B, L, D)
Today travel across the longest straight stretch of railway in the world, the Nullarbor Plain. Take an off train excursion at Cook and learn about this once bustling railway town, but is now considered a Ghost Town. This evening enjoy canapes and drinks, followed by dinner under the evening sky on a siding near the remote township of Rawlinna.
Day 16 - Arrive Perth (B, L)
Today travel through the picturesque Avon Valley. Named after the river that flows through it, keep an eye out for the wide range of birdlife and the Jarrah, Marri and Wandoo trees. Finish your rail journey with a delicious lunch, before arriving back in Perth.
