Day 1 - Depart Perth on Indian Pacific (L, D)
This morning make your way to East Perth Station to board the Indian Pacific. Settle into your Gold Service cabin, and enjoy the meals, beverages and facilities available to you. Later this evening, after dinner, you will arrive in Kalgoorlie where you can join your off train excursion to the Hannan’s North Tourist Mine. Learn about the Golden Mile and the thriving days of the gold rush period. Have your photo taken by a huge dump truck, and see the oversized ‘Super Pit’, the world’s largest single open cut mining operation which continues to recover the precious metal. At the end of the tour, return to the Indian Pacific to continue your overnight journey

Day 2 - The Nullarbor (B, L, D)
Early this morning the train will stop at a siding in Rawlinna, where you can disembark to watch the sunrise followed by a delicious breakfast. Continue your journey across the longest straight stretch of railway in the world, and stop at Cook, once a thriving railway town but now considered a ghost town. Spend the afternoon in your cabin watching the world go by, or head to the lounge car to make new friends and listen to the live entertainer.
Day 3 - Adelaide and Broken Hill (B, L, D)
This morning choose one of the tours in Adelaide. There’s a Central Market Progressive Breakfast, where you will meet stall owners, try tasty samples and discover the 140 year old food and culture centre of Adelaide. Or if sport is more your thing, enjoy a behind the scenes look at Adelaide Oval, discover the hidden secrets and relive celebrated moments of this iconic sporting facility. Then its back on the Indian Pacific to continue your journey east.
On arrival into Broken Hill, the off train experiences include the magnificent Drag Queens performing at the Palace Hotel, made famous in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Or if local art is more your thing, you may like to visit Broken Hill's Regional Art Gallery, or see the much loved "Big Picture", housed in the Silver City Mint and Art Centre.
Day 4 - Arrive Sydney (B, L)
This morning you may like to enjoy an off train excursion in the Blue Mountains - visit the World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains, where you can take the scenic Prince Henry Cliff Walk, the perfect location to see the spectacular Jamison Valley and iconic Three Sisters. A light lunch at The Lookout Restaurant is included, before continuing your rail journey to Central Station. Alternatively you may prefer to travel straight through to Sydney, and on arrival make your way to your hotel.

Day 5 - Hop on Hop off Explorer
Today travel around Sydney Harbour using your Hop On Hop Off Explorer pass. Departing from Circular Quay or Darling Harbour, you can visit such places as Taronga Zoo, Manly, Watsons Bay, Luna Park, Shark Island or Barangaroo. Entry fees to some of these locations is an additional cost.
Day 6 - Sydney Harbour Captain’s Dinner Cruise (D)
This evening enjoy Sydney Harbour’s signature dinner cruise aboard the MV Sydney 2000. With guaranteed window seating, feast on a 3 course contemporary Australian a la carte menu, with the lights of Sydney as your spectacular backdrop. Live music and dancing will keep you entertained as you cruise for 3.5 hours around the stunning Harbour.
Day 7 - Sydney to Melbourne
This morning depart Sydney on the XPT, and travel first class to Melbourne. There's ample time to relax, chat with your fellow passengers and watch the changing landscape glide passed your window - you might even spot some kangaroos! In the early evening you will arrive at Southern Cross Station and make your way to your hotel.

Day 8 - Magnificent Melbourne
This morning you will be collected from your accommodation for your city tour of Melbourne. Join a guided walking tour and learn about Melbourne’s famous laneways and arcades. Highlights on this tour include:
- exploring the Royal Arcade and Block Arcade featuring classic mosaic tile flooring.
- a walk through Degraves Street and Flinders Lane filled with vibrant cafés and bars, and the infamous Hosier Lane, best known for its colourful and impressive street art.
- a visit to the impressive landmarks of the Queen Victoria Markets, St. Paul’s Cathedral and Flinders Street Station.
See popular street art and travel past iconic landmarks, as you hear about the history of Melbourne, considered to be one of the most liveable cities in the world.
Day 9 - Free day in Melbourne
Today is a free day to continue exploring the sights of Melbourne at your own pace. Perhaps jump on a tram and head out to the beach at St Kilda, take a stroll through the Royal Botanic Gardens, visit a cafe and sip some of the world's best coffee, or visit one of the many museums and galleries dotted around the city.
Day 10 - Melbourne to Adelaide
Depart Melbourne on The Overland and travel to Adelaide, arriving late this afternoon.

Day 11 - Adelaide City Highlights
This morning you will be collected from your hotel for a half day Adelaide City Highlights tour. Drive along Adelaide’s elegant cultural boulevard, North Terrace, home to the Art Gallery, Museum, University and National Wine Centre. Stop at the iconic St Peter's Cathedral and Adelaide Oval, and enjoy a tour and chocolate tasting at Haigh’s Chocolates Factory (except on Sundays and South Australian public holidays, where a visit to the National Wine Centre is included as an alternative). Haigh's has been operating since 1915 and is famous for their premium chocolate making.
Day 12 - Barossa Food & Wine Experience (L)
Today travel into South Australia’s premium wine region, The Barossa. Taste award-winning wines and enjoy morning tea at Pindarie Wine Estate. Then it’s on to Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, where you will hear all about Maggie’s story of becoming an Australian food icon and gourmet food producer. You'll get to sample a range of food delights and can make a purchase from her extensive product range. At Lambert Estate you’ll enjoy a structured tasting, and feast upon a gourmet two course lunch, before finishing the day at Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, where you will pair their wine with some of their chocolate.
Day 13 - Board the Murray Princess (D)
This morning is free for your to enjoy at your leisure. After lunch (at your own cost), you will be transferred from your hotel to Mannum to board the southern hemisphere’s largest inland paddlewheeler, the PS Murray Princess. Settle into your outside cabin, and enjoy a delicious dinner as you cruise to the overnight mooring point at Mundurra.

Day 14 - River Murray (B, L, D)
After a delicious breakfast, the PS Murray Princess will dock at historic Murray Bridge. You will have the option to take a guided walk through the old historic Roundhouse built in 1873 and a distinct hexagonal building in Murray Bridge. Alternatively you can go on a wildlife tour to Monarto Zoo, one of the largest open-range zoos in the world (optional extra). Return to the Murray Princess in time for a hearty lunch, and continue your journey upriver. After dinner, be entertained by the talented and musical crew.
Day 15 - River Murray (B, L, D)
All ashore for a guided nature walk, to learn the secrets of the local Murray River flora and fauna. Travelling in small, personalised groups, explore the maze of the river and the birdlife of the Murray River on the ‘Dragon-Fly’ flat-bottomed boat. Watch for darters, herons and egrets feeding along the river’s muddy edges. This evening join the Captain and Officers for a fun-filled farewell dinner and dance.
Day 16 - Mannum to Adelaide to Perth (B)
Cruise back to Mannum, and after breakfast you will be transferred to the Adelaide Airport for your return flight to Perth.
