Tuesday 7 December 2021 - Adelaide to Sydney (L, D)
This morning make your way to the Adelaide Parklands Rail Terminal to board the iconic Indian Pacific. Settle into your Gold Service cabin, and enjoy the meals, beverages and facilities available to you.
On arrival into Broken Hill, choose from a selection of off-train experiences, including the magnificent Drag Queens performing at the Palace Hotel, made famous in the movie Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Or if local art is more your thing, you may like to visit Broken Hill's Regional Art Gallery or see the much loved 'Big Picture', housed in the Silver City Mint and Art Centre.

Wednesday 8 December - Arrive Sydney (B)
This morning enjoy an off-train excursion in the World Heritage-Listed Blue Mountains, where you can take the scenic Prince Henry Cliff Walk, the perfect location to see the spectacular Jamison Valley and iconic Three Sisters. A light lunch at The Lookout Restaurant is included, before continuing your rail journey to Central Station. Alternatively, you may prefer to travel straight through to Sydney.

Thursday 9 December - Hop On Hop Off Explorer
Today travel around Sydney Harbour using your Hop On Hop Off Explorer pass. Departing from Circular Quay or Darling Harbour, you can visit the most famous sites like Taronga Zoo, Manly, Watsons Bay, Luna Park, Shark Island or Barangaroo. Entry fees to some of these locations is an additional cost.
Friday 10 December - Brilliant Dinner Cruise on Sydney Harbour (D)
This evening enjoy Sydney Harbour’s signature dinner cruise aboard the MV Sydney 2000. Feast on a 3 course contemporary Australian a la carte menu, with the lights of Sydney as your spectacular backdrop.
Live music and dancing will keep you entertained as you cruise for 3.5 hours around the Harbour.
Saturday 11 December - Free day in Sydney
Today is a free day to explore more of the sights of spectacular Sydney at your leisure. Enjoy some time discovering the historic area of The Rocks, then wander around Circular Quay to the Botanic Gardens to view different vantage points around the spectacular harbour. If shopping is more your thing, head to Sydney's beautiful Queen Victoria Building (QVB) or famous Pitt Street Mall, then stop for a coffee in one of the many cafes to recharge.
Sunday 12 December - Sydney to Melbourne
Depart Sydney on the XPT and travel first class to the multicultural city of Melbourne. Travel through the diverse New South Wales countryside before you arrive early evening at Southern Cross Station. Make your way to your hotel, and get ready to explore the famous laneways and arcades of Melbourne tomorrow.

Monday 13 December - Melbourne Laneways, Arcades and City Tour, plus Yarra Cruise
This morning you'll join a guided walking tour and learn about Melbourne’s famous laneways and arcades. Explore the historic Royal and Block Arcades, and check out the lively cafes and bars of Degraves Street and Flinders Lane.
View the vibrant and unique street art in Hosier Lane before boarding your coach for a tour past iconic landmarks such as the Queen Victoria Markets, St Paul’s Cathedral, Flinders Street Station and the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
After your coach tour, cruise on the Yarra River past Melbourne's docklands and wharves, and see some of the great city views from a new perspective.
Tuesday 14 December - Free day in Melbourne
Today is a free day to explore more of the sights of Melbourne at your leisure. Join one of the many day tours taking you to Phillip Island to see the evening Penguin Parade.
Or explore the picturesque Great Ocean Road and have your photo taken in front of the Twelve Apostles.
Alternatively, jump on a tram and head to St Kilda, the beautiful seaside suburb famous for its palm-lined boardwalk, historic buildings, great restaurants, bars and cafes.
Wednesday 15 December - Depart Melbourne (D)
This afternoon make your way to Station Pier in Port Melbourne to board the luxurious Sapphire Princess, for your 4-night cruise leg of the journey. Take your time to settle into your inside cabin before meeting some of your fellow travellers while enjoying a sumptuous dinner together.
Overnight: Sapphire Princess, 4 nights.
Thursday 16 December - Day at Sea (B, L, D)
Spend the day enjoying the vast dining and entertainment options on the Sapphire Princess. With state of the art facilities, the ship itself is a destination! With original musical productions, dazzling magic shows, feature films and top comedians, there is always something happening to keep you entertained.
If you're after some relaxation or rejuvenation, visit the exclusive adults-only 'Sanctuary' or book a treatment at the Lotus Spa.
Friday 17 December - Port Lincoln (B, D)
This morning disembark in the pretty seaside town of Port Lincoln, South Australia. Claimed to be the seafood capital of Australia, the waters around the town are famous for southern bluefin tuna and sardines. Join one of the offshore tours and visit the Lincoln National Park, see the scenic coastline and finish the day with wine tasting at Boston Bay. There are also tours that offer oyster and seafood tastings, with a visit to the Coffin Bay Oyster Farm just a short drive from Port Lincoln.
Saturday 18 December - Kangaroo Island (B, D)
Today you will arrive at Kangaroo Island for a full day exploring. Jump on one of the many coach tours and head to Flinders Chase National Park to see the iconic Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch.
If you're keen to see the local wildlife, join a guided beach walk amongst a colony of wild Australian sea lions at Seal Bay Conservation Park.
Return to the ship late this afternoon, and enjoy dinner as your cruise takes you towards Adelaide.
Sunday 19 December - Arrive Adelaide (B)
Early this morning the Sapphire Princess will dock at Port Adelaide, where you will disembark and complete your brilliant rail and sail holiday.
