Day 1 - Depart Perth (L, D)
This morning make your way to East Perth Station to board the Indian Pacific. Settle into your Gold Service cabin, and enjoy the meals, beverages and facilities available to you. Later this evening, after dinner, you will arrive in Kalgoorlie where you can join your offtrain excursion to the Hannan’s North Tourist Mine. Learn about the Golden Mile and the thriving days of the gold rush period. Have your photo taken by a dump truck, and see the oversized ‘Super Pit’, the world’s largest single open cut mining operation which continues to recover the precious metal. At the end of the tour, return to the Indian Pacific to continue your overnight journey.

Day 2 - The Nullarbor Plain (B, L, D)
Early this morning the train will stop at a siding in Rawlinna, where you can disembark to watch the sunrise followed by a delicious breakfast. Continue your journey across the longest straight stretch of railway in the world, and stop at Cook, once a thriving railway town but now considered a ghost town. Spend the afternoon in your cabin watching the world go by, or head to the lounge car to make new friends and listen to the live entertainer.
Day 3 - Adelaide & Broken Hill (B, L, D)
This morning choose one of the tours in Adelaide. There’s a Central Market Progressive Breakfast, where you will meet stall owners, try tasty samples and discover the 140 year old food and culture centre of Adelaide. Or is sport is more your thing, enjoy a behind the scenes look at Adelaide Oval, discover the hidden secrets and relive celebrated moments of this iconic sporting facility. Then its back on the Indian Pacific to continue your journey east. On arrival into Broken Hill, the off train experiences include the magnificent Drag Queens performing at the Palace Hotel, made famous in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Or if local art is more your thing, you may like to visit Broken Hill's Regional Art Gallery, or see the much loved "Big Picture", housed in the Silver City Mint and Art Centre.
Day 4 - Arrive Sydney (B)
This morning you can enjoy an off train excursion in the Blue Mountains. Visit the World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains and take the scenic Prince Henry Cliff Walk, the perfect location to see the spectacular Jamison Valley and iconic Three Sisters. A light lunch at The Lookout Restaurant is included, before continuing your rail journey to Central Station in Sydney. Alternatively you may prefer to travel straight through to Sydney by continuing the journey on the Indian Pacific.

Day 5 and 6 - Sydney
Over the next two days use your Hop On Hop Off ferry pass and explore the many sights of Sydney. Cruise on one of the Captain Cook ferries between Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, Watsons Bay, Taronga Zoo, Luna Park, Manly and Shark Island.
Use your 2 day pass and 3 attractions to jump the queue. Take a pick of any 3 from:
- SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium
- WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo
- Madame Tussauds
- Sydney Tower Eye.
Besides the included attractions, there's still so much to see and do in Australia’s largest capital city. If beaches are your thing, check out some of our world-famous spots at either Bondi or Manly. Or stretch your legs by walking about Sydney’s historic The Rocks precinct or maybe a leisurely stroll through the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens around Mrs Macquarie’s Chair.
If you are looking for some retail therapy, there are heaps of shopping spots across the Harbour city to keep you busy before your amazing dinner on the Harbour.
Day 8 - Sydney to Perth
Today depart Sydney at a time suitable to you, or you may like to extend your stay and explore the city further.
