On arrival in Adelaide make your own way to your accommodation. Spend the day exploring this amazing city and the shopping precincts at your leisure.

Overnight: Stamford Plaza Adelaide, 2 nights

Blending the highlights of Adelaide city with the charming Hills that surround it, you will get a great overview of why this city has been voted one of the world's most liveable several times. Renowned for its festivals and events, explore the historic buildings along North Terrace, stop at St Peter’s Cathedral and Adelaide Oval, and visit the National Wine Centre.

After lunch (own cost), you will head into the Hills via Mount Lofty Summit, for breathtaking views looking back over the city out to the ocean. Stop at the Beerenberg Farm Shop to purchase some of their delicious locally made produce, and enjoy free time to explore the main street of the famous picturesque German-style town of Hahndorf.

Hop on the coach to Cape Jervis to board the SeaLink ferry bound for Kangaroo Island.

Visit Seal Bay, where you can walk on the beach amongst the wild Australian sea lions, before enjoying your lunch.

Continue on to Flinders Chase National Park, where you see the amazing regeneration of the native bush from the 2020 bushfires, and have great photo opportunities at Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Finish the day at Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed the kangaroos and get up close to koalas, before returning to your accommodation in Kingscote.

Overnight: Aurora Ozone Hotel

Be enthralled at the Birds of Prey free flight presentation at Raptor Domain followed by a guided tour of the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery before lunch.

Learn about the Ligurian Bee at Clifford's Honey Farm, and see a working beehive. Plus there's an opportunity to buy some souvenirs and delicious produce or sample some of the Drunken Drone Brewery's Honey Wheat Ale.

Finish the day at the new False Cape Wines cellar door, and enjoy a superb wine tasting before returning to Penneshaw, where there's free time to buy dinner (own cost), before boarding the ferry for your transfers back to Adelaide to continue your brilliant South Australian escape.

Overnight: Stamford Plaza Adelaide

Enjoy the morning off to discover more of Adelaide's city before being picked up from your hotel around lunchtime to travel to Mannum. Here you will meet the friendly team on the beautiful Murray Princess. Settle into your comfortable outside cabin before enjoying a delicious dinner as you cruise to your overnight mooring point at Caurnamont.

Overnight: Murray Princess, 4 nights

Enjoy a leisurely morning and lunch cruising upriver to Blanchetown where you will go through one of the locks which maintain the flow and water levels of the mighty river. The Murray Princess will moor opposite the township of Blanchetown, where you will join a guided tour of the Burk Salter Boutique Winery and surrounding vineyard. Experience the friendly atmosphere as you relax and enjoy wine tastings at the cellar door.

Today you will cruise downriver to the picturesque Swan Reach where you will join a guided walking tour to visit the local museum, housed in the original school building that was built in 1917. The museum has a unique collection of documents, photographs and historical items relating to the history of education and society in the river and rural communities.

Return to the Murray Princess where you will continue to cruise down to Sunnydale. Go ashore for an authentic outback Woolshed Show and visit the Native Wildlife Shelter. Learn about the typical Australian woolshed history, and see some of the native animals that are being cared for. Tonight enjoy an Aussie BBQ set on the banks of the impressive Murray River.

Take the optional Bush Tucker Breakfast to savour the unique taste of kangaroo sausages, wattleseed toast or pancakes, lemon myrtle butter, quandong jam and real billy tea. Or join a bush walk with the Captain before you continue downriver past the magnificent cliffs scoured by the river over millions of years.

At Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve, join a guided boardwalk tour to view ancient rock carvings and learn about Aboriginal history in the area. On the cruise down to Younghusband, adventure seekers can also take a scenic tender boat ride.

This evening join your fellow passengers for a delicious final night dinner and enjoy the evening entertainment.

Cruise back to Mannum and after breakfast you will disembark and be transferred to Adelaide - please enquire should you wish to be transferred straight to the airport.
