Day 1 - Arrive in Adelaide
On arrival in Adelaide make your own way to your accommodation. Spend the day exploring this amazing city and the shopping precincts at your leisure.

Overnight: Mercure Grosvenor Hotel Adelaide, 2 nights
Day 2 - Ultimate Adelaide and Hahndorf
Blending the highlights of the city with the quaint but classic Adelaide Hills, you will get a great overview of the South Australian capital city. See the historic buildings along North Terrace, stop at St Peter’s Cathedral and Adelaide Oval, and enjoy a tour and tastings at Haigh’s Chocolates Factory.
Then head into the Hills, via Mount Lofty Summit, for views looking back over the city out to the ocean. Stop at the Beerenberg Farm Shop to purchase some of their delicious produce, and enjoy free time to explore the main street of this picturesque town.
Day 3 - Adelaide to Kangaroo Island (L)
Hop on the coach to Cape Jervis to board the SeaLink ferry bound for Kangaroo Island.
Visit Seal Bay, where you can walk on the beach amongst the wild Australian sea lions, before heading to the Parndana hotel for lunch.
After lunch, stop in at Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to feed the kangaroos and get up close to koalas, before continuing on to Flinders Chase National Park.
Although this area was impacted by bushfires in January 2020, you’ll see the amazing regeneration of the native bush, and have great photo opportunities at Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Late this afternoon you'll return to your accommodation in Kingscote.

Day 4 - Kangaroo Island to Adelaide (B, L)
Be enthralled at the Birds of Prey In-flight Display at Raptor Domain followed by a guided tour of the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery before lunch.
There's an opportunity to buy some souvenirs and delicious produce at Clifford’s Honey Farm, before continuing to KI Spirits to sample some of their award-winning locally made liqueurs and gin.
Finish the day at the new False Cape Wines cellar door, and enjoy a superb wine tasting before returning to Penneshaw to board the ferry for your transfers back to Adelaide to continue your brilliant South Australian escape.

Day 5 - Adelaide to Mannum (D)
Enjoy the morning off to discover more of Adelaide city before being picked up from your hotel around lunchtime to travel to Mannum. Here you will meet the friendly team on the beautiful PS Murray Princess. Settle into your comfortable outside cabin before enjoying a delicious dinner as you cruise to your overnight mooring point at Mundarra.

Day 6 - River Murray (B, L, D)
After a hearty breakfast, choose to join a guided tour of the town’s historic landmarks and local attractions or go on a wildlife tour at Monarto Safari Park (additional cost). Those who choose to experience Monarto Safari Park will arrive back on board the Murray Princess in time for lunch. This afternoon, continue your journey upriver and tonight moor at Salt Bush Flat. After dinner, enjoy being entertained by the talented crew.
Day 7 - River Murray (B, L, D)
This morning, join a guided nature walk and learn the secrets of the local flora and fauna. It’s a great way to get in a little exercise before the PS Murray Princess departs and cruises downriver. Near Fromms Landing, the boat turns and heads downriver to River View Lodge (near Piggy Flat / Coolcha) where your discovery vessel awaits for a wildlife tour.
Travelling in small personalised group, explore the maze of the river and the birdlife is amazing. Watch for darters, herons and egrets feeding along the river’s muddy edges.
The afternoon offers a choice of bocce or fishing challenges before a delicious dinner in the Sturt Dining Room followed by an evening of entertainment.
Day 8 - Barossa Wine Tour (B, L, D)
Head back to Mannum and after breakfast depart by coach to the famous Barossa, the beautiful ‘Valley of the Vine’ and the source of approximately a quarter of Australia’s world-renowned wines. You will visit Jacob’s Creek Visitor Centre, Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, and enjoy a 2 course lunch at Lambert Estate where you’ll have time to take in the views of this popular vineyard.
Your final stop is Gully Gardens at Angaston, a local producer of dried fruits and confectionery, before returning to the Murray Princess at Mannum and cruising towards the overnight mooring at Caurnamont.
Day 9 - River Murray (B, L, D)
Enjoy a leisurely morning and lunch cruising upriver to Blanchetown where you will go through one of the locks which maintain the flow and levels of water. Moor opposite the township of Blanchetown, and join a guided tour of Burk Salter Boutique Winery and surrounding vineyard, and experience the friendly atmosphere as you relax and enjoy wine tasting at the cellar door.
Day 10 - River Murray (B, L, D)
Today cruise downriver to picturesque Swan Reach. Join the guided walking tour and visit the Museum, housed in the original school building that was built in 1917, it’s collection consists of documents, photographs and historical items relating to the history of education and society in the river and rural communities.
Continue to cruise down to Sunnydale, where you will go ashore for the Woolshed Show and visit the Native Wildlife Shelter. Learn about the typical Australian woolshed history, and see some interesting native animals that are being cared for. Tonight enjoy a great Aussie BBQ set on the banks of the mighty Murray.
Day 11 - River Murray (B, L, D)
This morning you may like to take the optional Bush Tucker Breakfast (extra cost) – savour the taste of kangaroo sausages, wattleseed toast or pancakes, lemon myrtle butter, quandong jam and real billy tea - or join a bush walk with the Captain, before you continue downriver past the magnificent cliffs scoured by the river over millions of years. At Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve, join a guided boardwalk tour to view ancient rock carvings and learn about Aboriginal history in the area. This evening the Captain and his officers host a spectacular Farewell Buffet Dinner, where you can dress up and dance if you wish.
Day 12 - Mannum to Adelaide (B)
Cruise back to Mannum, and after breakfast you will disembark, and be transferred to Adelaide Airport for your flight back home.
